Engineering and production
I.T.M.S can reconstruct and re-manufacture an old product. When impellers (fans) get rejected after inspection, our engineering department can calculate the impeller again. The product might be adjusted to increase efficiency. I.T.M.S. can also perform 3D scans.
Via a material scan it is possible to identify which materials were used in the outdated product. At that point reconstruction begins. I.T.M.S. manufactures through machining the required components. Parts are connected via certified welding processes. Reconstruction takes place using a precise action plan. During the reconstruction, protocols are reviewed. Partly due to the protocols, processing orders are determined in order to ensure the right quality.
Welding
I.T.M.S. is an expert regarding welding of special materials of rotating parts (ASMEIX and EN ISO15614-1).
Welding impellers
We have several welding methods to weld different materials. We can weld the following materials:
- X3CrNiMo 13-4
- 17-4PH
- 42CrMo4S4
- 34CrNiMo6+QT
Welding rotors (Cladding)
Wear in rotor shafts can be repaired by welding (cladding) and turning. This highly sophisticated welding method is a metal repair technique. We weld according to the following welding methods:
- GTAW / TIG-welding
- SAW (Submerged Arc Welding)
